Obama and Jesus – Who Wins?

Posted by Judi Lynn Lake at 17:07

Apparently Obama.

Since my family and me attended the Charleston Tea Party, I originally was going to post a blog about the event; however, suddenly it doesn’t seem to matter.

Not really.

Why?

It is evident that God is unwelcome in America.

Plain and simple: our nation is
making choices that are fueling us further and further into a God-less nation.

After I read about Obama’s speech at Georgetown University I feel paralyzed as I understand the root of America’s downfall: we are indeed a nation without God.

D
oes that justify my name being added to Ms. Napalitano’s “watch-list?” Probably but if I outwardly profess to be a follower of the Christ then why would I not stand up for Him? Makes no sense [to me] just as Georgetown University’s decision to cover up the Jesus' name with black plywood while Obama gave his speech this past Tuesday makes no sense. Read story.

Jesus is the identity behind the Jesuit order yet Georgetown University just sold out.

And why?

Because the White House asked them!

Does not our Lord deserve more?

Ya’d think, but apparently not.

A nation based on lukewarm convictions is doomed to failure regardless of how many patriots there are. What we need, as a nation, is to humbly get on our knees asking the Lord’s forgiveness and re-invite Him back into our lives and land.

We need to actively work within our own churches and return to the Spirit of Truth without compromise.

Am I naïve? I don’t think so. Let’s review what the Bible says about being lukewarm:

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16)
Has America been spued out of God’s mouth? Is there more to this than meets the eye? Will “putting out the fires” of today really help our children’s future?

Now here’s a surprise: the U.S. Senate is considering whether to approve Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius — the most pro-abortion governor in the country — as President Obama's nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Why am I not surprised…

America, Abortion is wrong – no two sides around that one.

We have before us the consequences of an election that makes us equally as guilty as those in office. We’ve become a people who have sold out on our core principles and values and because?

Because of fear!

The simple truth is this: right is right and wrong is wrong – anything middle of the road is just as wrong as wrong. Through Jesus Christ all things can become new. Through Him, America can be restored. Not through Obama. Not through the Democrats and not through the Republicans.

Why don’t we get this?

Because the majority of us are not who we profess ourselves to be.

Ah-ha! There, I’ve said it!

In today’s reading (Acts 3:11-26) Peter asks the people of Israel a great question: Why are you amazed with this?
“As the crippled man who had been cured clung to Peter and John,
all the people hurried in amazement toward them
in the portico called "Solomon's Portico."
When Peter saw this, he addressed the people,
"You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this,
and why do you look so intently at us
as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety?
The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,
the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus
whom you handed over and denied in Pilate's presence,
when he had decided to release him.
You denied the Holy and Righteous One
and asked that a murderer be released to you.
The author of life you put to death,
but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses.
And by faith in his name,
this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong,
and the faith that comes through it
has given him this perfect health….”
By linking Jesus’ resurrection with the man’s healing, Peter was pointing to something far greater than the possibility of physical healing. He was showing us that in His resurrection Jesus had made all things new.

Peter was telling us that the mere name of Jesus—the Messiah who had conquered sin and death—contained enough power to banish darkness and bring restoration. He was telling us that a new way of living has opened up, a way of living focused on Jesus and the power of his resurrection.

When was the last time we’ve genuinely prayed in Jesus’ name? Perhaps when we’re were sick? Or maybe when a loved one was going through a difficult time? Let’s consider now a good time to pray for a miracle for our nation and her people including all her leaders and pray with confidence. After all, the greatest miracle has already come to pass: Jesus’ resurrection from the dead and His defeat of even death itself!

“Lord, Jesus, please forgive us as I turn over our ailing country and her people to you with confidence, knowing that all things are possible for You. We desperately need more of You and less of us within our upside down nation. Show each of us how powerful Your Name is, so that the United States of America can place all her hope in You and finally be restored to what she was intended to be! I humbly ask this for the sake of our children and those not yet born.”

Judi,

This is an impassioned piece and I could not agree more with you on every point you made.

I too wanted to write something to encourage the Tea Party folks but realized that if the whole matter were just about taxes as it was back in the days of King George it would be a simple matter indeed.

But it is about Godlessness and dark times and a way of living that cannot be solved by more or less taxes.

The only consolation I found was in the fact that God redeems or save only individuals one at a time and thats all we have left. God's word won't return to him void. It still calls in one precious soul at a time.

Like you I would to God that we would repent as a nation but the events of these days seem to signify that we are goinf to stop our ears and rush headlong into our own demise and Gods judgment.

Keep the faith and lets keep praying for all those individuals that have had the grace of God open their eyes.

Love,

This will probably be of no consolation to you, Judy, but all of this is prophesied in Scripture. I choose to see from this perspective: It means our Redeemer is returning soon! We cannot change the President or Congress, or anyone but ourselves, so I need to concentrate on my own relationship with Jesus.
It is wonderful to see the spiritual growth in my friend! I love you, NY!

Excellent post, please post it at God & country also. You are right on the money on all counts. You can now understand my feelings when I posted about the Tea Parties and all the wasted energy when devoting oneself to going from one to another to another. Totally missing the point. And, totally missing God! - Emil J. Milano

A House of Prayer for All Nations
by Chip Brogden

The School of Christ
"[Jesus] said to them, 'When you pray, say: 'Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven''" (Luke 11:2).

Someone might ask if God wants His Kingdom to come and His Will to be done, why does He not just do it? Why do we have to pray for it to be done in order for it to happen? We believe the answer to these questions is based upon the fact that God wishes to do nothing apart from the Church. This is in contrast to a kind of attitude that passively accepts whatever happens and just believes that everything will take care of itself. This sounds like faith, but it is really not. It is a subtle form of laziness. If this were the case then daily bread would automatically come to us, and doors would automatically open, and workers would automatically go forth into the harvest. And if these things happened of their own accord, regardless of whether we prayed or not, then everything Jesus taught us about prayer is superfluous. Jesus taught us to always pray, and not quit (Luke 18:1).

The truth is that God HAS revealed His Will to us, the Spirit WILL make His Mind known to us if we ask, and we are thus instructed to cooperate with God by praying specifically for His Will and for His Kingdom to be accomplished. The fact that God has promised to provide us with daily bread, open doors, and workers for the harvest is intended to inspire us to ask for these things to be done and to give us a basis upon which we may reasonably expect God to bring it to pass.

This is why I can see that the Bible is True & Accurate. Biblical prophecy is unraveling right before our eyes.
We I believe will see the fall of America in our lifetime because this nation is turning away from God and faster with each passing year. Now we have Obama to lead the charge to destruction. - Sgt. Calvin Mills, P.I.

Hello Brother Calvin, I was hoping and looking forward to hearing from you. I and my assistant could discern your spirit. God Bless you and Glory Be To God the Father and to His Son, Jesus Christ, Amen. - Emil
