Since I've intended this blog to be a "safe-haven" for all Christians to share "life as it happens," I am thrilled to step aside today for guest author, Robert Melaccio, Sr. If anyone else is interested to "guest author" on this blog, feel free to e-mail me at judi@judilake.com. Please be advised that all material is subject for approval.
In the meantime, following are Mr. Melaccio's thoughts for the day:

Judgment Begins at the House of God?
DRBO Org, Douay Rheims Bible.
First Peter Chapter 4: “17 For the time is, that judgment should begin at the house of God. And if first at us, what shall be the end of them that believe not the gospel of God? 18 And if the just man shall scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God, commend their souls in good deeds to the faithful Creator.”
6 Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation: 7 Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you. 8 Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour. 9 Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.

Now in these days of trouble and strife the signs which were never available until this age are right before us. They are there in the prophesy of our saints, they are there in the prophesy of God to we who are believers, no not just professors but believers and we are warned so that we would not be caught unawares and that our Lords return we would know was even at the door. No certainly not the day or the hour but even at the door. Yes and that the gates of hell would not prevail against God’s Holy Church even though there are warnings about this.
So what are we to do? Saint Faustina in Divine Mercy in My Soul spoke of the new church and the laity. She spoke of the return of Christ. She is a Saint of the Catholic Church and based on her work are we to discard that? Today there are many signs and symbols that believers should be attuned to. Signs even prophesied by our recent popes yet are we to be condemned for looking up? Padre Pio or any of the prophesy of our Blessed Mother are they to be ignored?
No the warnings, the signs are there for Gods elect to know. Not for all, but those who truly seek Him. No, not because one holds a position of a religious order, attends mass regularly or even professes because many will stand before Him and He will say depart, even though they will say have I not, etc? No ones works are known by the truth of ones heart and their love for God, not what they profess only and what they seek for their own glory.
We of Catholic faith celebrated Advent, the expected return of the Lord, yet in many circles, even religious, we are admonished for looking, seeking, searching even when we celebrate that and are to expect that, why? Rhetorically, are we not to speculate, wonder, even when the very Word speaks to it? Is it only for religious to be informed? True we are always to live in Grace yet we are also to be looking. We are encouraged to seek and always look for His return and to be ready for it. So why the chastisement, why the reprimand and by who?
So when you hear peace and security, as uttered recently to the world by a world leader. When you see the Jews returned to Israel and Jerusalem in their hands know that this was never for 2000 years and is a clear defined sign. When you see sin, abortion, the breaking of law, greed, usury, exploitation, destruction condoned, legalized, implemented by our very leaders of both parties, know that evil has been turned loose upon the world. When you see people put to death in God’s name know the time may be near.
When you hear of other signs all about the earth, the heavens, and on our planet as a woman in travail with the beginnings of birth pains, then we who know, according to God’s Word that His coming may soon be near. Seek and you shall find, I have no need to repeat myself. Fear, well fear him who would steal your soul. Yes, “ what good if you gain the entire world but lose your soul?”
So when you suffer in trial and undergo suffering understand this is necessary because we who Love Him are His people and as Peter stated above it will start with us. The separation of the wheat from the shaft. Be blessed in your search and your trial for He will not abandon you but deliver you.
Look up, seek the signs, they are all about you, on the earth, in the heavens, in everything that is swirling around you. Look seek but humble yourself before the day of the Lord arrives, repent and prepare yes the way of the Lord for he comes not as a Merciful King but an avenging God. Mirantha, come quickly Lord Jesus.
